Although my interest in the hobby started in 1978, it was not until 1980 that I started filling holes in folders and 1981 was the first year I had anticipated finding the new issues in circulation. The 1981 Lincoln Cent is the first "new coin" that I ever found in circulation. Also, the year has some significance for my Alma Mater. Owassokie Pillar of the Community United States 622 Posts	Posted 04/19/2012 1:29 pm My last few boxes have had relatively low LWC counts. Anywhere from 4 to 9 per $25. BUT, I have found two Indian Head cents. A 1899 in G condition and an 1889 in at least fair condition. Every letter of Liberty is visible but the coin is dirty. Its almost like a rusty substance. BabyJayhawk New Member United States 40 Posts	Posted 04/20/2012 10:23 am Went to the bar last night to grab a couple drinks after work, and when we closed out our tab the price was $43.99. When the bartender came back with change I saw that the coin on the table was pretty dark in color. Normally I'd just leave the coin (surprised she even brought it) but I thought it might have some potential, sure enough it was a 1953-D wheatie. So not only were the drinks great but the change that came back was great as well! Happy Friday everyone! Report this Post to the Staff
