Lonz, I would say it is safe to say you are putting more effort in to your search than 99.9% of searchers, and certainly more than me. It takes a certain kind of mentality to put that kind time and effort in to searching and still find it enjoyable. That said, I think its probably a good thing because you will find things others will miss. I'll make a couple suggestions: First off, you need to lose this idea that you are going to 'miss something' if you go too quickly. If you need quantitative reason for the change, consider all the coins you are 'missing something' on because you are aren't able to look at because you are bogged down. Secondly, I would encourage you to stick to the meticulous and thorough searching but be more selective on what coins you are going to search. Pick out several years and mm that lead themselves to your type of searching and concentrate on those. Thirdly, forget about sorting zinks and coppers. That is something that is done by people that are only looking for very few specific variety/error coins. There's no real value to someone such as yourself because you probably aren't going through enough coin to make it worth your time.

In conclusion, don't try to do everything. Pick out your niche and go with it. Narrow your focus and focus on things that others (who are focused on other things) will miss.

I guess all I needed to do was complain about my low LWC count because I just hit the largest number of wheat's in a single box. 39 was the total. Also, two were enders with one of them being the reverse (which is neat to see). There was nothing particularly good or nice. I checked for errors and varieties and found nothing. Oldest coin was a 1936. I was really surprised that out of 39, I didn't have any early 30's or older coins. Oh well, I'm not really complaining. It was nice to get so many. I also set a personal record for most in a single roll with 6. Btw, I haven't officially calculated my % of copper but its going to probably be just under 20%. Low copper and high wheat count doesn't make sense but that's what it was. (and before you ask...yes I did include the LWC's in my copper count).

Found a few nice ones today. A 1921-S,1933 and a 1944 with most of the mint luster. The early S mints are tough here on the east coast.

I've all but given up on Halves for now, and devoting all my time to Cents.
Found another 1999 WAM yesterday; the Seventh. Except for a couple spots, there's hardly a mark on it. My best one yet.

Found a 1926 wheatie. Oldest coin I've found in circulation so far!

Also got a 1945 S.
