@ Jdionne, look at a 1989 penny. FG lower right. The G has a stem coming off the bottom. There was one a couple pages back.

Okay thanks. Can this variety be found on the 1988p as well or just the D. And also, are there other Years where this error occurs?

Thankyou for the help. Kind of a bummer I didn't know about this variety before I went through all the pennies I have haha. Makes me wonder how many I have just tossed in the cull pile lol

Don't worry, there probably wasn't one in there. They are very scarce, I've never found one out of thousands checked.

went through about 10-15 rolls found an uncirculated 1973 17 canadians oldest 1961 and 6 wheaties 58,57-d,56-d,54-d,51, and a very nice 49-s

Finally finished another box today... Source: $25 box in paper wrappers, Iberia Bank, Sulphur Wheat penny Finds: 1940D 1941 1948D 1954 1957D 1957D 1958 Canadian Penny Finds: 1964 1965 Other: 1981 with AR stamp I know this is not a mint error, but does anyone know the history behind the penny I found below?
