I think I found a complete set of queens portraits on Canadian pennies, including the 12 sides penny, which I had never seen before. I also got about a dozen wheats, including the oldest coin I've found in circulation, 1945. Going through a box of pennies was a lot of fun, and a great way to find some cool coins, but it's a lot of work! I think I'll stick to a few rolls at a time from now on.

I like the challenge with Lincolns there's alot of different varieties and you never know what's gonna show up next I also do nickels sometimes and now I found a bank that always has halfs I'm gonna start doing those too for the silver

Daniels (and others, what varieties do you look for when looking at pennies? Do you look for different errors?

Besides trying to complete my Wheat cent collection I like coins that are old and look new and I'm trying to learn errors also my favorite coins to find are 60 70 80s au/bu |

Here is my daughters collection her and I been working on she doesn't like this album anymore she wants a dansco album so the next time I show this it will be complete in her new album lol this is why I really collect to watch a 6 year old be so passionate about something  |

Parent and child working together to complete a set.That is the best part of this hobby.Had a guy buy three LWC from me on ebay,when he mentioned it was for his son's set (11 years old) I threw in an IHC as a bonus. |

We went to the local coin shop to look for some key date wheats like the 1909 s 1911 and we ended leaving with a 2011 proof set those wheats are so hard to find in Alaska the last box we went through I found 3 and they where just beat up a few more months left at this duty station then back the lower 48 maybe ill have better luck there

I think I've stumbled on someone else's dump. No copper (maybe 1 or 2 1982's) mostly 2010's 95's, 2006, 1994, 98's, 99's, 2000's, 92's, 84's, and 88's. Most of the years I intensely check.
Anyone run into this too?

Guess my perseverance paid off... the next 2 rolls were all pre 1979 with about 20 or so BU 1979's... and the last one I did.....   .... All Wheats! (47 to be exact) Ranging from 1913 to 1958. I put them in a quick year/mm order in the pic. They graded from AG - XF and the glared out ones were a 94d, 98d, and something else - those were on the ends lol...  None were really key dates, but I'll take em for 50 cents!!  |
