I know I'm gonna have to buy the proofs that was my intentions the rest ill find in rolls. Its gonna be hard and I'm sure I'll be changing ones out for better ones work in progress. CanadianCollector Valued Member Canada 306 Posts	Posted 07/27/2012 11:03 am I got these five wheaties out of 14 rolls. The craziest part is they were in 14 Canadian rolls from a bank in Canada! The 1913 is my oldest circulation find ever! I found all of these wheaties, but the oldest Canadian penny in those rolls was a 1958! It is VERY common to get sealed rolls of all-new coins from the bank. It's one of the reasons why I go out of my way to get CWR"s (customer wrapped rolls) when I am buying rolls to search. If I see that the rolls I am being given are shiny-new on both ends, I ask the teller to see if there are any rolls that customers might have turned in. BTW...Nice finds from those ten rolls! basicbob101 Pillar of the Community United States 819 Posts	Posted 07/27/2012 5:45 pm Do you guys do a visual and then put suspect coins under a magnifying glass or loop or do you loop every coin and search that way. I have just been doing a good visual, is nothing seems amiss I pass it on (except for dates where there are found DDO, Wide AM's , etc.) Just wondering if I might be missing alot of good finds by not putting every one under the glass. DrDon Pillar of the Community United States 2624 Posts	Posted 07/27/2012 6:27 pm basicbob101: I use a lighted magnifying glass(2.5x or 5x,not sure) to do my basic roll searching.I separate the copper coins and the key dates ('92,'88,'98,'99, 2000) plus others with nice doubled dies I'm looking for. I also weed out the junk coins. Then I search the rest with a 16x loop. Report this Post to the Staff
