Quote: think I reached a new low in hunting today. Stopped for gas saw a 1970-s in the take a penny leave a penny. Problem was I was paying with credit card. I ask the attendant if I could look at the penny He said yes. Drove home, couldn't stop thinking..."if only I had my loupe". Drove back an hour later to swap him a penny... Small date. LOL Ahhhh....why didn't you just take it? LOL I admit, I've taken some cents that grabbed my eye in those. Nobody ever complained.

Nobody ever complained Because the tray was kinda behind the counter by his cash draw and if you've ever been to a NYC gas station reaching there may have made him reach for a gun By the way I meant to say large date in my post. It was a large date not small of course lol

Started the day off with my first box ever, later that day my wife comes home with a present boom another box of pennies. 3/4 through the first and nothing but good times. 1960D BU looks like brand new and 12 Wheaties 38 the oldest good condition just brown. 10 Canadian 69 the oldest. Weird thing is I found 3 1944-S in this box within 8 rolls of each other.
