@Schwanke: From my limited research on ebay for when my water jug finally fills up and I want to sell a few batches, most people are doing a flat rate box from the post office, making the buyer pay shipping, and then the pennies are being sold for double face value to offset the shipping. Looking like that is the route I am going to go for.

... Jdionne and MadMortician.....I've done it both ways. Free shipping and buyer paid shipping. I got lucky when I listed as free ship because the same person bought all 3 "lots of 10 rolls" It cost $5.15 for a small flat rate box and they fit 30 rolls perfectly. When I did buyer paid shipping it ended up being similar "cost" for the buyer. If you list an auction, my advice would be to start at face and charge $1 more than you'll need to ship as a buffer. For a buy it now you can "control" the price a bit more, so I include shipping. Here's a current listing I have for an auction... I have 40 or 50 more rolls I might try as a single lot after this one... http://www.ebay.com/itm/26111483373....m1555.l2649here was the last one I sold.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/26111183336....m1562.l2649I've sold both by rolls and by weight - it seems that rolls move quicker...

Quote: and is the 1 normally crooked on these? haven't seen one before. That is PMD caused by a counting machine. Nice haul by the way!

rachums... oops... that's a 10-day auction.. was $3.70 when I wrote it.
I don't "seed" wheat pennies, but if I find some common ones I'll leave them in there... as well as some Canadians up to 1996. It depends on my mood too. lol

Quote: bought this batch of unsearched wheats from my bank manager. WOW! What a SCORE! You found some tougher date coins in there too. The slanted 1 in the 1941 is PMD. I own one almost exactly the same and have seen dozens others. Still, an interesting find and a good learning tool. That's why I kept mind.

I do not think I put too much thought into it, but I just have three random 1950's wheat cents in mine. That being said, I think you have an interesting idea. @ Daniels
Congrats on finishing your album! Have you found any RPM's or doubled dies you could put in there?

I have a copper plated 1943S in one of those holes right now and thinking of looking for the P & D mint ones just for placeholders/conversation pieces.
