How long was the wait on the returned coils?

Quote: 1999 - 500,000 in 5,237,600,000, or about 1 in 10,000. They HAVE to be rarer than that! That would make them only three times as rare as the 1998, which I've pulled well over 30 of. BTW, Mountainman 2, that's a really nice 1999 WAM! Got $15 in rolls from a bank today, and through the first two rolls, there's nothing dated after 1984. Except for this one 1988. Wonder how it got in there? Hoping for more goodies from these rolls!

Wow! Nice find CoppernickelDaddy!
.... that quote was from the original thread for the WAMs... 98 seems much more common.

Tonight I did it, y'all. 1959. UNCIRCULATED. Not even kidding. Full red, full cartwheel, full luster, one teeny tiny ding on the obverse that could as easily be a bag mark as a circulation mark. NO OTHER MARKS AT ALL. This thing could have come off the die last week. Even better . . . you know that kind of golden luster that all-copper pennies take on for just a little bit before they start to turn brown, that never ever appears on cleaned pennies because it has something to do with the cartwheel? THIS IS THAT COLOUR. IT'S NEVER BEEN CLEANED. To sum up, this little fellow.

Wow, that's a nice Cud Coppernickeldaddy! I agree Lonz, the 98s seem to be the most common. I found another last night in nice condition.

Coppernickeldaddy,
I think the 1988 is a greased die error. I loved finding those when the rest of the coin is in great shape. that one looks fantastic!

jobill. I would have to disagree. It looks as if the cracked die couldn't supply enough support for the opposite die to deliver the words. Regardless it's a fantastic find!

with Lonz. Not enough metal to fill the obverse die. Looks a lot like a Greaser, though (if you didn't see the back)

I am pretty sure this is a proof strike. Thoughts?
