616 total copper lincolns for 24.6%. A second consecutive box with only five wheats inside, but I got eleven S-mint cents, the most I have got in a box including five 1974-S.

No it is not a glue job but a double strike.
The top layer contains only grease and no metal component. Basically the top layer just completely dissolved in acetone.

I did two boxes, one this weekend and one last weekend. I think that brings my total to somewhere around 10. My first box was my best to date. I found 17 LWC and 4 Canadian. The only two LWC of note were a 1913 (my oldest roll find) and a beautiful 1955S     Then I had my second box. Halfway through I had only found 3 LWC. But then with about 8 rolls left I found an even older find, a 1897 IHC. Do you think an acetone bath followed by VerdiCare would be the best way to preserve it? I also found a 1972P-1DO-007. Overall, 10 LWC, 1 IHC, 5 Canadian, and 1 Bermuda (starfish)      I'm not sure if I want to keep going or switch over to nickels to preserve my luck! |

Congratulations on very nice 1955-s. Acetone will get rid of those PVC damage on the 1913 Lincoln Wheat cent. But I do not think there will be any improvement on the Indian Head cent. Unfortunately it is a damaged piece. |

If it was a double struck coin acetone would not have "dissolved" the second strike. It would have been part of the coin just as the "primary" image is part of the coin. If the second image was removed by the acetone it was something added after the coin left the mint. jdavis18:Nice coins, I can't see the doubling on the '72 in your pics. It's there. Matched up all of the markers and everything 😃. It was a nice surprise after seeing so many of them.

Went through 2 boxes of cents as I have a bunch of boxes piling up that need to be searched. It should only count as 1 box though as half of each box was 2013 rolls. I also found a dime in there with the reverse ground off. Found a decent amount of wheats and a good percentage of copper. A few early dates not the normal 1956-1958's.   |

Found these in $15 of rolls. Only 2 coins from the 30's, but I love them! These coins got me over $3,000 searched so far since mid-April.  Edited by GoldenEagle
