got a box lined up for this evening (along with a box of nickels). With any luck, that # of cent boxes will jump to 2. I cracked open the box that I do have, and it is NOT solid 2013, so that is a good start :-)

1 hike home with 35lbs in my bag is a lot. 2 in one day is a calorie burning wonder! and dont forget the walk in with coins for dumping :-)

doesn't deter me in the slightest.

Skibdib, did you ever send in that possible unplated Zincoln in for slabbing? I'm curious. Also I'm getting a cent box today as well. I'll let us everyone know the results when I finish. Nothing like fighting off the Monday blues like some more roll hunting!

Today's finds: (sarcasm)

Cool-Lincoln-Roll-Finds-From-Bank-Rolls----Post-Yours!

A whole box of 2013 shields. I know this happens sometimes, but after two years of roll hunting I have never seen this before. Does this mean that I might not get a mixed circulated box again from this bank? Do they choose to order new boxes over old ones or is this just a coincidence and not their fault?

It happens, it's a bit of a disappointment, but consider searching for the best roll you can get out of the whole box. Also consider, if you can find a super nice one and get it into a PCGS 68 slab - it'd probably sell for >$1000.

Next time I go to this bank will they probably have a regular box? I'll either go this Friday or next Tuesday. Or should I give them a little break?

Ive been hit with a solid 2013 box recently. Tried again and it was a good searchable box.

Did 2 boxes last night, with 1 hole filler which is always nice.

It was a nice 1938 d that went right into the book.

I also found one of those 1974 pennies with the JFK counterstamp, my first JFK counterstamp. There were 2 dimes in this box, so I guess I'm up 18 cents lol.

Between the 2 boxes, a total of 13 wheats. Not excellent but the 1938d made my night.

Great finds, skibdib! of the 1938-D. That's pretty amazing. Also, good to know about the bank box. I will try them again on Friday. Maybe not a whole box this time, maybe around $15 so that way I can see what I'm getting before its too late.

You should have seen my reaction when I got into my car and opened the box to see if there were any enders...

Yeh, my base pickup bank gave me the brand new box. I avoided them for a week and the next one was fine. There may be more 2013 boxes lurking there. I may even say something next time about not wanting it if it is brand new, but that is a touchy conversation.

Here are the pics

Great condition on the 38d! You've been having some cool finds lately! Only 20 million of those made. I found a 1935-S once and the condition wasn't that great. It was heavily worn but could've made it to Fine if the strike was stronger.

Very weak strike on it, barely readable. The 35 S is notorious for that. I would post pics but it is in storage.

This will be my strategy for going back to my bank this Friday: Ask for $15 or $20 instead of a whole box that way if I get a brand new rolls again I won't realize it until too late like last time.

The strike on yours is exceptional, by the way. Again, great find.
