I found a box of cents that I had stashed in my closet for a few months and went through it yesterday.
It was completely ordinary except for the ONE HUNDRED Canadian coins ranging from 1920 (first year of the small cent) to 2011. a few rolls had 7 Canadians each.
How timely! I just got my Canadian cent album last week!

Wow baysinger! What a cool but weird box. My theory is the coins came from a change source near the border. For example, a northern Michigan convenience store dumped some change and sent it to their local bank, which in turn sent it back to the Fed, which repackaged it and was redistributed.

of the King George Vs, especially that 1920. I have yet to find a KGV cent, my oldest Canadian is a 1939.

I will post pics when I get my album sorted out. I have all of my Canadian coins in a half dollar box (recently they became too much for the $25 cent box I had them in) so I have quite a few to go through.
I haven't looked closely at most of them, but as far as I know I only have 2 or 3 Georgie Vs. Always a nice surprise!

Found somewhat worn 1908 IHC in box in PA while on vacation. Hadn't found one in several months. Found a 26 wheat in addition to a dozen or so wheats. Found screaming 65 penny, unfortunately a few scratches.

in response to request, here is picture of IHC and other older wheats. 20, 26, and 11. none are hole fillers or upgrades. but better dates than I usually get. IHC is not all that good either. but still an IHC

i have finished the 2nd box from same bank. loaded with errors from the 60's. tons of BU 60's coins. 5 clips. (6th from first box). blank planchet, and what appears to be massive lamination error. the bottom one in the middle I am not sure - maybe struck outside of collar? am uploading to error portion of forum.

Near Harrisburg. Originally from the burgh (Pittsburgh). Now I live in the Carolina's. I am just kinda poking along on a box of pennies/box of nickels each per day. I really need to check the other coins in the batch for errors. I already looked for WAMs and cams to no avail.

That's a great box Cbass! The 1908 IHC and 1926 would be hole fillers for me. Kind of strange how you found that many errors at once. I have also yet to find a blank planchet. And with the older wheats, even if they are not hole fillers, it's a good sign that there is a healthy supply out there.

I've found a couple of laminations, but nothing that big. If the one you found really is a huge lamination error, it might be worth a premium. Amazing finds!

Thanks wheat chaser. I am thinking that based on the amount of AU/BU copper pennies in there that this was part of someones collection or at least old coin bucket. finding that many blatant (visible to the naked eye) errors in one box is not likely. I am gonna start checking the other pennies from that box as well for errors. maybe some double dies or something.

Yes - I have done at least 3000$ in pennies thus year and haven't found more than that in all those coins. Great box- agreed. It's gotta be part of someone's dump. It had the IHC and some better date wheats also.

I made out pretty good today: 39 wheats!

There were 3 hole fillers in this one: 1946-D, 1948-D, AND a...1920-S!

Mintage is 46 million, my second better date! This one is, uh, blue. Can't really explain that, but I'll take it!

I'm just happy if I get one common hole filler, but this is amazing!
