I made myself a list of 41 LMC that I look for. I made that list based on reading these forums. I also had empty cent folders that I was able to get a great start on by roll hunting. It's really a personal choice as to what matters to you to look for. The more you read and interact with, the more you'll learn. Don't be afraid to ask questions. As far as a general "what to look for?" Maybe look for the many varieties of the 1982 cents, other dates also have double dies, lamination's, Cuds, clips, WAM, CAM etc.. It's really difficult to answer that question without being vague or so in depth you'll be like "Woah, what the?" Also, if you do not already have a way to post really good pics, it's a good idea to find a way. Posting pics of the coins you find questionable is a really good way of learning as you go. We love pictures!! Don't let some of the replies get taken personal either. You'll get some direct answers especially when it comes to moral issues. I learned to stay clear of those type questions. This is a great forum though, and I learn new things every day I log in! Have Fun!

Quote: Came out with a Flying Eagle cent You sure it's not the Canadian bird cent? I don't believe anyone has ever found a Flying Eagle cent roll searching....it would be a first as far as I know.

Did a box and came up with 8 wheats. Also there was a noticeable lot of 2000 BU looking pennies, so I took 50 of them and made a roll to put aside.

I have heard of a certain Canadian member finding a FEC in Canada. It can happen... it's just extremely unlikely.

My dad needed me to take him to the bank today since he just had arm surgery so I picked up a box of pennies there. I ended up getting 528 copper, 6 wheats, 8 2009s, and 11 Canadian. I also got $10 at my bank and got 346 copper, 6 wheats, 5 2009s, and 2 Canadian. Over 35% copper not too shabby!

Slogged through 2x $25 boxes only to find an abundance of 2013 shields. But this little gem popped up in my last dollar's worth from box #2. 1980 DDO#1
