Just went through a box of pennies. 14 total wheats (1912 and 1927 were the nicest) 8 canadians (1 King George 1951) not bad.

Picked up about $15 in pennies today. The first four rolls have been ALL 1984 and older with the majority being from the 70's! 2/3 of each roll are red! I've only come across maybe 4-5 coins older than '84, with only one being an '88! Got a '29 wheatie in pretty good shape. Gonna keep searching and will give you details later!

So I got through 7 rolls and here is a pic of what I've pulled out! The tall stack in the back are all "S" mint marks. The two in the front are 1957D and a 1929. From looking at the ends of the remaining rolls, it looks like I have about 16 more rolls of the same! JACKPOT! I think I'm gonna have to back through my dump box and run some stats like Rackster and some of you do. This is amazing!

Great score on the Mercury dime! I just found a dime in a penny roll too, but it's stuck to a penny so hard I can't separate it. Oh well. Found this in a roll side to side with this! First roll out of 7 opened too! Roll 2 has 2 George VIs. They're both in flips now, saying they were found beside each other. By the way, I've only found 1 Bicentennial cent, the one where Lincoln is sitting on a log, in 3 Canadian boxes. A roll usually has one or more American cents (I found 1 roll with 48 of cents, only 2 pennies), and zincolns are abundant. Where are all of them bicentennials?

Quote:Net results 5/22 • 2500 coins searched • 1025 copper coins (above average; 41%) • 31 LWC (‘41-'57; 1941 RB AU+?) • 48 LMC zinc/copper AU+ • 3 S Mint • 15 Foreign (all Canadian; earliest 1962) • 5 Dimes (1942 Mercury, fine) • A few potential varieties that need to be vetted The real surprise was the Mercury dime. 41% copper! Nice score on the dimes too.

Did a box this week. A little below average but not a bad haul.
1 Canadian 11 LWCs - surprisingly the oldest ones were 2 1920Ps (one looks to be a G4 and the other a VG8, maybe a F12).

I always scour the safe at my work for wheaties and anything else interesting. Whilst a colleague of mine was putting away the change order today I noticed a shiny shiny wheatie ender. As I wasn't cash controller today I couldn't get my hands on it. But I know it's locked up nice and safe and just waiting for me in the morning. I know it will probably be a 57 or 58 but it looks in great condition, I can't wait to unwrap that roll in the morning!

Alright, been a while but I finally got ahold of some more pennies. Went through 30 rolls, and I must say I'm impressed by what I scored. 22 wheats: 2x 35, 38, 2x 40, 40-D, 2x 42, 44, 44-D, 2x 45, 45-D, 46, 51-D, 52-D, 2x 53-D, 54-D, 56-D, 2x 57-D. 1970-S LMC. 3 Canadians: 87, 97, 06. And the big one, a 2000 WAM! And the WAM! :D

All the other lincoln hunters must have taken the day off for the big race and some time with their families, alas I had to work so I got some pennies to search afterwards. 40 rolls gave me a decent number. 17 wheats: 42-D, 44, 2x 46-D, 47, 47-S, 50-D, 51-D, 53, 53-D, 54-D, 56, 3x 56-D, 57-D, 58-D. 4 S-mint: 69-S, 72-S, 2x 74-S 3 Canadians: 89, 94, 95.
