Thanks Zeke!

Neat finding a 2012 S!! Finding proof coins where they weren't meant to be found always feels good!

Alright Agrippa! The 1919S was a real treat and finding more pre-1930 coins is always a good thing. I hit a box a couple months back with many teens - I imagined someone's collection got stirred into other circulated coins before being rolled by Dunbar. Makes me wonder what coins I didn't get! Keep up your lucky streak!!

My mother-in-law gets rolls of cents to fill plastic Easter Eggs for the grandchildren to find.

My son and I finally got around to breaking up his finds and sorting the treasures.

He found two wheat cents in the group.

Was lucky today when I went in to pick up my box of quarters she told me to bring a box of pennies and she would see if she could spare a new of fro trade, and she did! She apologized in advance that they might all be new ones because the new Loomis boxes, but I told her as long as it is paper rolls, not plastic ones, I am happy all the same to look them, and I need some from this year anyway. I was jsut happy she would help my search so YAY PENNIES! Hope to have some good finds to share with you all over the next week, but doubt I can top that 1919 or the 2012 S. nice pulls!

Went through two boxes and it's a shame my camera is dead and I can't locate the charger.

Box one:

19 wheats, 2 S-mint cents, 2 Canadian pennies and a 1943 steel cent.

Also landed what I'm pretty sure is my first Cud, but I'll post a thread up on that when I can get my camera going again.

Box two:

Must be the same batch as the first.

20 wheats, 10 Canadian pennies, FOUR steelies (the magnets must have been full on the machines?), a counterstamped cent and a 2000 WAM

I love looking through these!

In the 15 rolls I have opened I think I have found a 1911, but at this point it is so worn it is just a 19xx wheat. found my first parking lot 2009 today. saw Lincoln staring up at me from his log when I got out of the car, so I picked him up to give him a safer place to read his book and do some whittlin'.

the box had an ender and it was the first of the 15 rolls opened. a 1978 with a 4-leaf clover stamped into the obverse, right of his face. it was face up in the roll.. or is that face out?

Thanks Rackster - there seems to be a ridge all around the left side. Very curious....

Hi Pete - it seems the ridge is rather prevalent on the early Zincolns and less so as the years have passed. On older coins, the ridge eventually turns into a split in the copper and corrosion sets in quickly.
