Pete - too funny!!  Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most (or something to that affect) Re: 1988D I always look for RPMs on the early Zincolns, but quite often there is zinc rot or other PMD in the MM area. Even some of the specimens at CC have zinc rot making identification difficult. Checking for the die markers sometimes is your only chance at IDing a specimen. Good luck! |

Picked up 3 bags and 38 rolls of pennies (in Canada). Went through the 38 rolls which must have been someone's US penny collection because I found a few wheat cents...Although no hole fillers, they are getting harder and harder to find:
1917, 1917s, 1919(2), 1929s, 1934, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939(2), 1940(6), 1941(8), 1942(7), 1944(7), 1944d(3), 1944s, 1945(3), 1945d, 1945s, 1946(12), 1947d(2), 1948(3), 1950(4), 1951(3), 1951d(7), 1952, 1952d(7), 1953(4), 1953d(3), 1954(2), 1954d, 1955(4), 1955d, 1956(2), 1956d(11), 1957(5), 1957d(5), 1958(2), 1958d(5). 132 in total

sorry I have been absent, the last several boxes that I've gotten have been solid in 2014. I'm laying off a little bit until that stock has been diminished from the bank.

Back during Good Friday weekend I was visiting my parents and my mom gave me some coins to look at (which I was stunned to find out that she had any) and she had five penny rolls and she told me they were mostly Wheaties so I figured 40's and 50's but was stunned to find a 1912 S in one of the rolls....  |

While watching the USA soccer game I click clacked 2 boxes of pennies and found a 1924 and a 1928d. I'll take pictures later.
