Captain, yes, those are small dates. You can tell by the short tail on the 6.

Sweet 1958, CaptainKurt. I love the way those high quality wheats jump out at you when you open a roll. I am keeping all of my small date Lincolns in very good condition. I think they are disappearing into collections. I see fewer all the time. Jim

Quote: These are small dates, right? I'm still getting used to the difference and thanx in advance!
Definately small dates. However, the D mint small dates are just as common as the large dates. It's the 60P small dates that are worth a premium.

Found a 1917 wheat in vg/f condition today. Otherwise, pretty slim pickins!

I just picked up a fresh load from my friends house. So far pulling some really nice 80's and 90's BU. I estimate I have about 10k cents to go through....and he still has more at his house. I just didn't feel like carrying any more. LOL One more trip will do it. There should be plenty of more cool stuff in this batch. The first round was amazing. The best yield was the 1999 WAM in MS.

Thad, are you really finding an equal amount of small date and large date 1960-D(s)? Here, I would guess they are easily 100 large to 1 small. Finished 4 boxes last week and found 23 large and no small dates and this seems about typical for me. Guess area of the country makes a big difference, maybe. Jim

Well, unless they are BU, the 1960-D SD are going in the bucket. Jim

Well I bought my first box today and breezed through it already. LP1-1 LP2-2 LP3-10 LP4-2 (First 2 I found here in Massachusetts) (All P's) 22 Canadians (Ranging 1948-2002) 11 Wheats all common dates in which I have except for a decent 29'S that filled a hole in my Dansco. I'm hooked now

ive read a few pages on here and see that some people are having trouble returning boxes of pennies. what I do is I go to banks get boxes of pennies and sort thru them. after about 4 or 5 boxes I go to the casino and turn them in. its free and they are happy to do it. however if you dont live next to a casino this might be hard to do. I live an hr away from 2 casino and I like going to them anyways so this is what I do. good luck

Is anyone interested in "woody" cents or trying to put together a set? While roll searching, I have some (right now, some = four) from the early 80's in various grades and would be happy to accumulate more for a while and send them along to someone who would give them a good home.
