 Also, you get to search more quantity, too. I'd much rather search 20 boxes of cents than one box of halfs. |

Yes. However, you can search a box of halves in say, 45 minutes to an hour while 20 boxes of cents would take me about 40 hours.

That's true too... And you would have over 200 lbs of cents on your hands... That'd make an interesting conversation with a teller when you're trying to return them..  |

Box 2 totals (finally): 4 wheats (1955-D, 57-D x2, 58) 7 Canadian (oldest 1961) 1 2009 18 2009-D Here's the 1919-D from box 1. It has some dirt which should be easy to get off, but all in all a nice problem free example.  |

BTW, I also got five BU red coins. This is reserved for coins which are actually uncirculated or maybe high AU, not the usual low AU or EF red coins you find. The dates are 1968-D, 69-S, 71-S, 73-D and 75-D (with a very tilted mintmark).

What is everyone's opinion on saving the 09's?

I like to keep them because of their somewhat low mintage number. I look at them from time to time to see if I missed any varieties and to check if any new ones were discovered.

In my first of two boxes I got 17 2009-Ds, and the second produced a P and 18 Ds. Add the two Ds I got from the 8 rolls I had searched prior to the boxes, and I get one 2009 in about 145.95 coins (2.92 rolls). Many rolls produce two or more of them. MJ, very nice find! Not that it will be rare or anything soon, but it's the first I've seen. Another thing- I was wondering what the D/P ratio is in different parts of the country. Here, I get almost all D, even with the earlier dates. With the new ones especially, Philly coins are fairly scarce here. In my two boxes, perhaps a fifth of the coins were 2013-2015 Denver issues, while the newest P coins I got were a mere two 2013s with none 2014 or newer. Edited by Numisma
