aristarchus123 Pillar of the Community United States 1696 Posts	Posted 04/15/2017 9:37 pm I was very, very excited to open a roll today and see a 1943-P steel cent on the end. I stopped to take the photo and mentioned to my wife, "Wow! This is only the 3rd steel cent I have found." My excitement increased exponentially when I poured out the roll: There were 47 steel cents. Four of them were 1943-D and 43 were 1943-P. A couple were in pretty good condition with mint luster. One of the 1943-P coins was the variant with the missing die-filled 4 in the date. None of them look reprocessed. I was able to fill another hole in my folder with one of the 1943-D coins. Report this Post to the Staff

Just finished another $25 box. 586 copper LMC, no "S" mint mark, 6 2009, 20 Canadian oldest was a 1963, 18 wheat cents, oldest was an extremely worn out 1920, poor Abe Lincoln, all his details are gone. The rest of the wheatbacks were from the 1940's and 1950's. Happy hunting everyone! Report this Post to the Staff

dadsoncoinhobby Valued Member United States 237 Posts	Posted 04/17/2017 2:43 pm Amazing roll, aristarchus123! We did $15 worth of pennies over the holiday and we had some neat finds. Overall, we found about 25 BU cents from the 60's. My son started a tube of them just to keep them shiny. We found 7 wheats all from the 50's, but we found a really nice 1955, and an AU 1958 wheat (pics below). We also found our first 2017 cent of the year. It was a Philadelphia, but we found zero other 2017 cents. It was strange, since we usually find more Denver mint cents in our area. Finally, we found this 1959 memorial. It sure looks like a proof to me, but I would appreciate a second opinion of anyone else. It is super glossy, and it does seem to have the thicker edge as well. It was really cool to find!
