Allan - keep those Canadians and see if you can put together a complete set. I'm missing only 10 of the Elizabeth and George's, and four of them are 2007-2010. Not sure where you live, but I'm in Michigan and tend to see more of the Canadians.

Not so much that it was a cool find, but I got another copper deficient box. 13 Coppers - no wheats.
32 - 2009s, all four varieties represented, at least 1 from each mint.
Nearly a full roll of BU 2008's.
ALOT of BU 1986-1988's

Did two boxes on Friday and was disappointed after the initial sort. Only about 18% copper when I'm usually around 32%. Also, there weren't many wheaties. But once I started digging in, I found 2 that filled holes in my Whitman - 47S and 50S:   That leaves 16 holes in my 1941-to-date books (not counting the 2010s), all from circulation. There was also a beautiful R/B 47D:   And you don't see many early zincs like these 1983s, especially two from the same box:    Not a spot of black on either one. Matt |

Joe, those 83s are beautiful. The reverses are a little small to grade but they look like they might go MS. I do not understand how MS grade coins, 27 yrs old, can come out of circulation bank rolls. I know the great coins jar turn in theory but they still have been thru a roller and in circulation. Still, we all find them occasionally.

I may need to rethink my collecting habits. I find '83's like those pictured regularly and just pitch them back into circulation. Some have black spots, but most are like those.

wvyankee - I was doing that too, but recently started keeping any BU or near BU's from 1990 back......I figure they are all 20+ years old now. I've found ALOT of 76-90's lately that are just about mint perfect state.

Roll prices of the 1983's are going up rapidly as of late. Better keep them! |

I went to the bank last friday to get a box of cents, brought it home and opened it to discover it was all 09-p lp-4's...stashed away, but I was hoping to hunt. I normally get about 25-30% copper, but very few wheats. I've done over 2 boxes now and only got 5 of them?!?  |

i pull on average, 4-10 wheats per box. the exception being the 88% copper box I had last week where I pulled 35 wheats. (plus 2200 coppers)

Roll searching a Brinks box last night.....finding more Canadians than usual.....and some common date Wheats. But I also found a 1906 IHC ! .....  I may go back to this bank (which isn't mine) and grab another box of Nickels and Cents ! .....(both produced WELL !) |

Yes it is ! And it sure makes "roll searching" that much more fun ! By the way......I also found a 1988 Dime in one of the Cent rolls ! ......  |

I sure wish I was finding 1983s that looked like that. Mine have weak strikes (look at the hair on those), bad planchets (covered with bubbles) and tons of black spots.
Way to go Eaglefoot. Great find.
