Barber Half Counterstamp, Chopmark, Damage, Nothing?

johnny676767 Pillar of the Community United States 521 Posts	Posted 11/26/2020 10:40 am Hello, I noticed this mark on a Barber Half I have. It seems deliberately placed and of definite shape. Maybe I just have too much time since I'm not cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year! Anyway, opinions would be appreciated. Thanks everyone and have a great and safe holiday! I'd love a better image of the slope of the "canyon walls" to see if they add or detract from my perception of uniformity. No. I cannot imagine the nature of an object nor how an object that tiny, could be at the New Orleans mint in 1898, nor can I explain to myself the near perfection of placement. Coins (bless them) present know-nothing fools like me with so many precious puzzles and mysteries. It's great having found a safe venue to voice my ignorance and see it lain alongside expertise.
