I found this and thought the date looked odd.. can y'all tell me if this is a misalignment or am I crazy haha

@cato, what about the date looks out of alignment to you? Can you give us a little more information about what you are seeing with the coin in hand? Thx.

It looks like it was a tilted die strike, with a fin. But with the fin flattened, it is now just a common coin. As mentioned it is a later die state coin, also showing vending machine damage on the motto. Just a spender. If this coin or a previous year were in BU, then it would be a keeper. (in 1982-1983 if you wanted mint sets from each mint, you had to go to the mint to get each one. So if you have BU quarters those years, they are keepers. Find a roll of these, buy them) But as it, your coin is a spender.
