Hi all, I just found a Canadian 2006 5c piece that is missing the logo. I have looked at references for this and it seems a genuine variety, but if this is the case, why is it not listed as such in Numista? Thanks

I'm aware of at least 3 varieties of that coin. 2 are magnetic, of which one had the Maple leaf logo and the other has P (for plated I believe), and then there is a non magnetic version with no logo. They are KM#491 and KM#491b respectively. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces3587.htmlSteve :)

It is listed in Numista. It's KM#149b. The variety missing from Numista is the logo variety. Do not use Numista as a reference for Canadian coins, as you have learned here it is confusing and incomplete, no Canadian collector would use it. A far superior reference is this site; https://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices.php

Mentioned but not listed as a separate variety, which it is. I stand by what I said, Numista is confusing and incomplete.

Thanks for all the responses. My fault for not reading far enough to realize the no-logo variety is on a different planchet and thus gets an entry of its own. All cleared now.
