.......status, progress and grading on-line before it arrives or do you wait until it arrives at your door?

I track my submissions. I want to be home when they arrive because they are generally signers.

Track, track, and track. I'm too impatient I pull up grades as soon as they post, and like kanga, want to attempt to be here to sign.

I know, it's hard not to track the progress and see the results on-line before they arrive. There's a side of me that doesn't want to see the results until they arrive, something like Christmas!

I am super impatient! I was actually thinking of posting a rant about this. I sent 6 coins in to NGC in 3 submissions. One coin each in Modern and Early Bird and 4 coins in economy. I requested that all the coins be shipped back together in order to save on shipping. I have been incessantly checking the website for any change in status. I was super excited to see my modern and early bird move into the status they call "Grading / Quality Control". I watched for days after, and no change. I eventually called them and found out that even though my coins were already graded and slabbed, they will not release the grades until the shipping. That will not be until the slowest of all the submissions (in this case - economy) is completed and ready to be shipped. I was terribly frustrated by that. I am not a good "what if"er, but I wonder if I would have been willing to pay the separate shipping fees to have the faster tiers ship upon completion and not have to wait. Now, after 6 weeks, all of my coins are in "Grading / Quality Control" status, and still 2 days have gone by without any change beyond that. Another phone call yesterday and they told me that everything is done, and they don't see any reason why they haven't shipped yet. I guess what I am trying to say is, I'm trying to be patient, but it is clearly not working out. I hope to be able to jubilantly post the grades sometime soon.

What's this waiting thing you speak of? I'm refreshing the TPG screen even before I ship the coins out ;)

It's not easy being patient BigSilver. I have never used NGC or PCGS. I've only used ANACS and have stayed with them over the years. I have submitted notes or questions with my submissions in the past, similar to your problem with NGC.
Always timely feedback and resolution from ANACS customer service from where I sit.

I'm confused. You said "I requested that all the coins be shipped back together in order to save on shipping." Why are you surprised that the return will be at the speed of the slowest submission? That's what you ASKED them to do!

Quote: I'm confused I must not have been clear. I am frustrated that they don't release the grades as they grade them. They finished the grading weeks ago and they know the grades, but they won't tell them to me because they are being shipped with a slower tier companion.
