Hi there, was looking through a whole bunch of wheat cents. This one in particular caught my eye. I believe it to be possibly a 1922 no D or weak D cent. Can anyone give me their thoughts? Thanks.

Sorry, its hard not to go over the 300 KB limit of the photos. I didn't have much option than to upload them as is.

I think I can see what's left of a "D".

So, I'll call your coin a weak "D" variety.

Agree on the crop and rotate on the pics!

Looking at the reverse. It appears to be the weak reverse, however, when I apply light closely to the coin I find no mintmark. I believe personally that this coin is a no D weak reverse.

I think all responses will be speculation without sharper up close pics of the MM area. Does share characteristics of the weak reverse, but I too see the possibility of a weak D. I'd say send it in to a TPG and get a definitive answer.

Here, I'll do it for you. It's not that hard if you use the site's image optimizer to resize and rotate your photos. It looks like it may be a die pair 4, weak reverse. Whether it's a weak D or no D is hard to say with these photos. There's something where the mintmark should be, but you'll need to inspect it at different light angles to see if you can see a remnant of a D.

I thought it was funny. My wife ask what I was laughing at. As far as the coin goes I know very little about the 1922 no D

If I'm making a joke, I usually leave a smilie. Cracks can come across as flip or sarcastic otherwise.
