Nice. Low-tech setup, hi-tech results. I wonder if we should set up a Perpetual Photography Rig picture section?

I haven't been a player for the last few months, but that's changing soon....

Those are some nice pics by the way. Don't you worry about the heat coming off of those bulbs being so close to the camera like that? I tried some setups like that and was worried that the heat would do something to the lens or camera. Maybe it won't have any effect, don't know was just wondering.

I've never had a problem with heat but usually I was just taking a couple of images at a time. The Canon S2 was and still is just an awesome camera.

Now with the new camera and macro lens my distant between the camera and coins has increased by about six more inches.

I have to agree the Canon S2 is a great camera. That's what I use for my photos.
