Hi, I've had this table-top tripod laying around and thought somebody here could use it. My camera is too heavy for this, which I think is best suited for a point-and-shoot and not a dSLR. The photo pretty much describes it--adjustable scissor-style base with a vertical that extends from 12" to 18". The top tilts as well as the vertical post in step increments. Happy to send this off if you'd like to cover postage costs--it breaks down into a small envelope. PM me if interested.

Yes, I feel lucky to "win" it and it is just what I think will help me with coin images. I have been thinking of making my little studio ever since Kurt was so kind to give it up. I promise to get some decent images up and show my new set up off asap.

Hi everyone, The tripod is from a tabletop lighting studio that never worked too well, so I'm glad the this will get some use. Wheezydog, I got too busy today to mail it, but I'll do it on Monday.

Hey Kurt, No hurry here that's for sure. I bet it will work a heck of a lot better for me than what I do now to take pictures. I will do some improvisation and my brain will get some stimulation. Today I went and picked up my new PC tower. It's a slim one so I will have some room at my desk for this setup and not have to go too far to get the images right into a file folder. Now all I need is a crane with a demolition ball, a front end loader, and a couple dump trucks to clear off my desk.

quoting myself Quote: Now all I need is a crane with a demolition ball, a front end loader, and a couple dump trucks to clear off my desk. My desk and new PC is all set up. I even have a camera that will be permanently dedicated to the tripod with a USB cable right into the tower to manage images.

Thanks again Kurt, I have all the patience in the world for the tripod. ( well, maybe some patience with some antsy-ness.. ) You are so kind to give it to me. I am looking now for a nice side table for my desk to set things up. Yesterday, I had tried to figure out how to shoot with my camera and get the image taken to show up in my monitor rather than my camera screen. I downloaded the easyshare Kodak program but that does not seem to be what I want at all. I have a port on my camera that goes into a USB on my PC but it only seems to want to be for transferring files and not working as an extension of my camera preview. Anybody following me here? I'd like to snap a digital image and immediately see it on a PC monitor.
