I have a smithsonian microscope, basically a QX5. I have just been informed by digital blue's customer service that it is not compatable with 64 bit vista, which is the system on my new computer. and they don't know when they will have a fix. So does anyone know of any computer scopes that are supported? Thanks.

How nice. I have a QX5 too...I suppose that means I'll skip Vista.
Good luck...I haven't had to check into this (yet).

I don't know about the Smithsonian, but Digital Blue has a Vista patch out for the QX-5. You have to email them for it.

I would make this suggestion: DUMP the VISTA OS, and go back to XP-PRO! there are too many bugs in all versions of VISTA, to make it worth all the hassle of making it work with your other equipment! BYW, I have the QX3, which is an earlier version of the QX5. It has poor lighting, and was very erratic on fosucing, but an adaptor base, to allow it to be mounted on my QSZ scope, and a little bit of the plastic made a lot of improvement. It will not replace the CanonPowershot A-590 IS, I recently bought, (and am still trying to learn to use it). I made some shots of the wind damage to my awning, and they were very nice, in spite of the wind blowing 35-50 MPH while shooting!
