Kulman47 Valued Member United States 176 Posts	Posted 12/05/2020 09:18 am Hello again, My dad passed away last month as I mentioned in a Morgan post. I believe a lot of the coins I'm finding are from my grandfather who passed away in 96 at the age of 94. I've so far found a 1921 Morgan, 1911 barber and this Kennedy. Apologize for poor pics, only have a scanner ATM (lost some coin equip in a move). This along with others have been in a box for I'd say 40+ yrs. Did a quick search, haven't found a lot on this year/mint as far as DDs go. What does everyone think? Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 12/05/2020 1:27 pm Looks like the dies that stuck your coin had been polished a lot. Not how the devices are all smaller than normal on both sides of the coin. Note the fields? How flat they are? So your coin was one of the first ones struck after the die polishing. But if it were a doubled die, the devices would probably be a hard thing to find as a doubled die because the height of the devices are shorter. But as mentioned there is melt value for your coin.
