is and was a give away by religious groups as a good luck/watch over one token sold on line and in religious supply stores by the hundreds. usually found in the .25/50¢ boxes

I remember them coming in the mail with that same clear non damaging sticky stuff that would keep it on the card with a Guardian Angel message. Thus we can call them Guardian Angel medals or tokens.
I guess I remember them from about 15 or maybe 20 years ago.
I think that amazing stuff is called "Booger Glue". Seriously!
You find your credit cards coming in the mail with it on.

Yes, these angel medalets are mass-produced and sold in religious/spiritualist supplies stores. They often come with instructions telling you to leave them somewhere for someone else to find, to spread the angel blessings around. Which is why they're a common feature of out "ID Required" page, because people are always finding the things with no context of what they are.
