Please let me know your thoughts. This was taken from a bankroll of uncirculated 1974-D pennies. Thank you for your time! Basically a floating head Lincoln? Edited by Snoopydoo 12/22/2020 02:44 am

Im guessing there was a remnant of a clash before they filed it away, along with some of the design. This is common. Spend it

Perhaps an indication of over aggressive die polishing in the neck area. Nice die crack.

I agree with all of the above. Over polishing, but head is still attached.

I bought a mint sewn bag of 1974-D cents that had more than 5600 coins and 95% of them look just like this. They also show slight die rotation. Is the reverse slightly rotated on your coin?
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

I have a handful of these I set aside in 1974. Apparently common.

These are all 74-D's that I opened from rolls I'd been saving, and am working into flips. Sounds like I wasted my time, but I'm just a common kinda guy I guess.

Sorry Yokozuna, missed your question my first time thru. Yes, this coin has a bit of a die rotation.
