I got these silver dollars at face value (1$) each so I'm not heavily invested in them if at all. They look in pretty good shape, I'm wondering if I should get them graded considering I paid next to nothing for them. What do you guys think

Nice finds for a buck each, but not worth sending off for grading. Both are worth a bit over melt in their current condition. They would need to come back MS64 or higher to justify sending in a common date for grading. IMO

Im fairly new to coin collecting. When I compared them to others they looked about a EF 40 and I thought they clean them professionally or something to possibly raise the grade but like I said I dont know much about the process.

Cleaning does not raise the grade, and often ruins coins.

It is safe to soak them in acetone, which will remove most organic debris and may improve the appearance.

Thanks, how long is it recommended you leave them soaking in acetone?

Save your money. An acetone soak wouldn't hurt, but they're pretty much fine as they are.

I'd leave them as is. They have nice natural toning.
Also not worth grading.
