1929-D Buffalo Mystery

I came across this nickel in a large bag of 4k coins (xmas present!) Look to the right between the 19 and the 29, it looks like an additional letter or numeral clearly punched. The 1929-D isn't known for attributable/graded errors but perhaps this is a new one? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

probably more photos than you need to show what you are seeing...

that said - I see only a well circulated and damaged coin...

what letter are YOU seeing?

Looks like the 9 took a well placed hit and pushed it's tails metal up onto the 2

Agreed - hit on leftmost 9 moved metal to the right.
