I'm somewhat new to coin collecting, but have metal detected for years. Lots of old crusty coins to look over for a second time in this hobby. As a matter of fact I ran across a bunch of crusty coins I had found Detecting years ago. One coin I had to clean, turned out to be a 1936 Mercury head dime. My best find came this 2020 summer...An 1864 Indian Head cent found at an 1865 historic registered homestead.
My coin roll hunting and folder filling thus far includes, cents, nickels, dimes, and quarters. I'm starting to lean towards specializing in nickels.
I am delighted to find this site so I can ask questions from folks with more knowledge than me. As a matter of fact I have a big question to ask already. I'm going to go find the question link to ask if now.
