Wow, I feel pretty stupid. I've been here for acouple of weeks & never noticed the Grading Forum. Nice! Check out these Barbers I found today. I have no reason to think they've been cleaned because they've been put away forever, but the scatches on the face worry me. What do you think of the grade & whether they've been cleaned?

Both coins look VG-8 to me, though they both look like they have been harshly cleaned especially on the faces.

Are those digital photos or scans? I would grade the half at F-15 and the quarter is a bit better so it gets VF-20, nice pair

Scans. Bad scans. I was almost hesitant to put them up because they don't look the same in hand. They're both (especially the Half) pretty bright. I don't know why they scanned so dark

though cleaned and scratched they both show nice detail... net F-20 enjoy!
