I found this in a roll of pennies, are these extra mint marks or something else? I did not do anything to this penny, this is how I found it, just as it is. Thank you

@cj, first welcome to CCF. Second, those look like zinc blisters, where there is a pinhole in the copper plating and the underlying zinc core has started to deteriorate and expand. Sometimes they are hollow and you can depress them with the tip of a wooden toothpick. It looks like someone was scraping at the blister by the word IN, which is a no-no.

Thank you for the welcome, I enjoy this forum and all the advice I am getting. It is very helpful.
Now why is it a no no to scrap at the marks? And does this make any difference to the value or no.

It's a "No-No" because scraping at it will accelerate it's demise. It's doomed anyway from zinc rot.
