Hi All,
Although not a core portion of my collection, I do like to pick up Quebec-related 19th century and earlier medals when they present themselves.
This is my most recent acquisition, a charming, crude 1888 (last digit punched) St. Jean de Baptiste Society convention medal. Although I have / have seen similar pieces of the 'Jacques Cartier' type, I have never run across one with punched dates / portions of the inscription before.
I was wondering if someone with more specialized knowledge than myself might be able to provide more information / a catalog attribution for my cabinet disc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, many thanks in advance!
