I watched "The Coin Collector" on HSN last night (New Years Eve) and was somewhat surprised that almost all the items for sale where 2021 ASE's; 2021 plain, 2021-W, and 2021-S mints, and all already slabbed and available. Also, all the 2021 gold American Eagles available too; the $5, $10, $25, and $50 varieties.

I looked through the Mint's 2020 product schedule and couldn't find these items listed at all. Where did they come from?

No 2021 ASEs or AGEs have been released yet. Anything you saw on HSN is a presale and either a mockup or acheived with digital editing.

Various precious metals dealers are advertizing January 11th for availability and are also accepting orders.

Also, all the collector ASE issues have been delayed and on-sale dates replaced with "TBD" on the Mint's 2021 schedule. The collector AGEs are still set for March release, I believe.

Yup, on the presentations where they had a real coin it's actually a 2020 with a 2021 label. Now having said that, I have seen previous shows where they do have the actual coin already graded about a week before the Mints sale date.

Are you sure? I wish I was able to tape the program, as I believe he said he bought 13,000 ASE's. He even said that he had to have the San Fran 'padlocked chest' shipped directly to either ANAC or NGC to be able to have them slabbed as "S" mints, because if not still in the sealed case they would be labeled as "W"'s. ***Unless he was talking about the newly found 1986-S MS70 uncirculated ASE's he was selling***

Yes, I did pay more attention to the stickers and not the actual coins, so it's possible they were really 2020's inside, but that would mean they were either fake labels or the TPG companies miss-labeled all those shown on TV.

Anyways, I'm actually glad I can't afford to collect all these different types of ASE's. I have enough debt with my other purchases.
