This coin weighs 2.35 grams and is 15 mm in diameter. It appears to maybe be Antoninus Pius on the obverse, and then some sort of basket on the reverse. Any help attributing this coin would be most appreciated. Happy New Year!

You know a search of modius or kalathos plus Pius or Aurelius or Commodus you would think would find this coin easily. But it does not. Here is one that is not it but the only bronze I could find.

This seems like a tough coin to attribute. Thanks for helping so far guys. I am pretty sure the figure on the obverse is male.

OK Bob L. You often find coins here that are not easy to find on other places. I don't think you are doing a classic search and probably know the coin already but I do have a question if you would be so kind as to consider replying: How do you successfully use this search engine? What is it great for for example, how do I know I need to go to it?

I find the advanced search function at RPC Online to be frustrating at times, Joe. Same with the advanced search function at Coinproject. Both seem temperamental.

I don't recall my steps in this case. But I think I probably just did a general search on "Antoninus Pius kalathos ears," which turned up about two dozen hits. I may have attempted "modius" prior to "kalathos" earlier. I don't recall...that search was so yesterday...

Edit: I should mention that I added "ears" since I knew it would likely be in the description and would greatly narrow down the number of hits.

OK for this coin, acsearch did not have it and this site had 5 so searching bithynia, elagabalus and temple did the trick. Thanks!
