I thought I would post this here because of the silver, even though I know this isn't a knife forum.

As many of you know, I am currently in Oman traveling around with my family till I graduate, and return to the US.

Today I picked up this knife, the blade itself being Pakistani, the handle and sheathe being Omani. The blade is made out of pretty high quality steel, sheathe being leather, and the handle being both brass and silver.

The inner part of the handle is brass, but pretty much everything on the outside is hand woven pure silver thread. The thread, as you can see, is closely wrapped around the handle, and then the bottom part is carved.

It's likely to say that the silver content on the handle is quite a bit.
