Something to start off the New Year. I just got this one back from ANACS, and it upgrades the 65 in my collection. No where near as strong as die 3, it is still interesting as one of the few doubled dies where the doubling is rather strong on the mint mark. This one isn't an early die state, so the notches in the date and in the lower left corners of LIBERTY are pretty fuzzy, but still shows well on the mint mark and vest. 1995-D Lincoln Memorial cent doubled die - DD0-001 MS66 RED

Another nice variety and your images show it very well. and that is an easy MS66.
Is this one you picked or found already attributed before you sent it in?

Thanks! But honestly I don't remember where this one came from. I have maybe 5 or 6 of these in MS state and only the 65 in my collection was slabbed. So I was sending in a bunch of doubled die discovery coins to get that on the label and was hunting for anything else to include in the order. I found these and picked the two I thought might go 66 and submitted them. The other went 65.
Yes, it's a rare one! But probably becuase it's quite tough to see. Super easy to miss even when you know to look for it. I just look at the mint mark when searching as the rest is too hard to see with a loupe.

Around the S of TRUST is my mistake at not brushing the slab before taking the photos. I literally just took the slab out of the ANACS shipping box and never thought to dust it.
I'd say the only reason I "know all this" is because I focus almost exclusively on Lincoln cents, and have for years. After a while you just sort of know what to look for on every year.
