The Chinese copper coin is a 10 cash (1 cent) coin from Fujien (Fukien) province, dated using the Chinese calendar to 1906 AD. Listed in the Krause caralogue of world coins as KM/Y# 10f. Worth around a dollar or so.

The American one is, unfortunately, not genuine. It has the wrong portrait for a gold coin of 1799; this portrait is copied off the ones used for silver coinage. The diework on the reverse is also quite crude, especially around the arrows and branch. Gold coins of the period are supposed to look like this:

hmm... It might be gold-plated, but I'm looking at the hair and the erm... bust and both details are different.

Also, you gold 1799's Liberty's face looks odd... like of like a sneering old man...

Csgan, the coin in the picture you linked to is of a silver dollar of 1799, as the link that points to the picture clearly states. All US gold coins dated 1799 have the same obverse design as the one I showed earlier, known as the "capped bust"; here is an example with the 1799 date.

The fuzzy and "slightly wrong" details on your coin, and the mismatching of obverse and reverse dies, are characteristic of the "Chinese fakes" commonly seen on the market in China and elsewhere.

Sorry, but your "gold coin" is not genuine, and in all likelihood not made of gold.

I don't know anything about the first coin but the second coins is definitely a fake, the design is all wrong and the snarling look of liberty isn't from the photo taking ability its one trait these coins have. These are usually silver colored with the same design yours shows but still the same design that looks like was made from the same mold, just different colored metal. If you go here and scroll down to the one labeled "Coyote" you will see the same design with the same date and it is clearly a poorly made counterfeit http://home.comcast.net/~reidgold/d.../page_7.html
