The Newman Numismatic Portal just made this short 20 page book available online. You can download it in a PDF or read it it online whichever you choose.

It's a short and well written account of Bechtler's Gold narrated by "Grandfather Berryman" to his grandson. It was gleaned from old newspaper articles collected by Berry Bright Freeman of Rutherford North Carolina. The newspaper quotations are authentic and of interest to collectors of gold coinage.
