I understand that this is a bit backwards, but I am trying to learn how to identify XF-40 Peace dollars. Could someone perhaps post a good photo of an XF-40 and a VF-20 and point out the main differences?

Actually, one of the easiest and quickest way to do this, is go to ebay or Heritage, look up graded (PCGS, NGC, ANACS) Peace dollars with good pics, and check them out, compare them on your own. It's a great way to see how the grading companies see them, and you will learn to grade them just like they do.
