hi everyone. my name is mike. I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I recently found a 1923-s SLQ with my minelab explorer metal detector at a los angeles park. I was hoping some of the experts here on the forum can "photo-grade" my coin! I want to send it in to ANACS to have it graded and slabbed, but just thought i'd see what you guys and gals thought the grade is...

this coin has not been cleaned. this is what it looked like when I dug it. I rinsed it with bottled water only. the ground where it was found was dry and kind of rocky.

thanks in advance!

Mike

Now that's buried treasure! You should definitely submit that to ANACS.

As far as grade I'd place it around Fine-15.

Nice detector find. As far as grade most of the date is worn away. I'm going to say VG-8.

I agree with the VG grade. I am in Los Angeles. Show me some pointers. I am looking for some places to detect!
