Happy New Year everyone! I don't know if this Nickel is toned, improperly annealed, or, sintered. Might someone be able to help me with this? Thank you!

It may have been dipped at one time, then circulated that removed the highest points to wear off those higher areas? Still a nice coin. It still has it's date.
