Thank you very much.. I can tell it is damaged.. I am not sure what kind or if this could be considered a double strike or something like that. I will try and take better photos later.

Looks covered in glue to me. Could be lacquer. Maybe someone messed up on a table/bartop or tore one apart.

When identifying errors or damage you need to have a strong understanding the minting process. It's not just that the coin looks different, but identifying what in the minting process could have caused it. When the anomaly cannot be attributed to a failure this process, it becomes much easier to excluded it as an error.

I would be glad to see better images of this coin, but what I see so far really doesn't look like it was caused by something at the mint.

Better pics are a must for this one.

You can also try soaking it in acetone to see if it is any kind of adhesive on the coin.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

I would like to thank everyone that replied.. after a little science I am led to believe it was in fact glue.. I will be posting more oddities very soon. I will try and not waste anyone's time and will try a better photo setup.. might try the scanner.. anyhoo.. thank you again..
