I've seen on coin websites about light, medium, and wide thickness (doubling) on devices. Where could I see a coin of any denomination that is a regular (normal) strike to be able to tell the difference?

Type in the coin you're looking for into Google and add PCGS coinfacts to it. This will bring up a list that will include the coinfacts sites for what you are looking for which have high quality images of most every coin out there.

In addition to what TB said, the vast majority (like 999 in 1000) of most coins will not show doubling. So if you find one you think may be doubled and have a few more of the same year, you can usually compare it against the others and be pretty safe assuming the other ones are not doubled.

In the upper left hand of every page here in CCF is a search box. Type "doubled die" in it to read and see examples.
