I recently inherited volumes of Dansco Archival Quality slipcases of different coins. I was wondering if there was any way of selling them fairly without scrutinizing everyone of them. I have us eagles, american eagles, morgans, Mercury dimes, Walking half dollars, Eisenhower dollars proof... the list goes on. I just don't have the knowledge. Thank You

Welcome Adam. I think the best thing you can do is at least make a list of what you have there. If you are looking to sell them then I would suggest looking up online the values or look through your book. You could go to your local coin store and unload them but they will probably only offer you 60-75% of value. You could take a lot of pictures and place them on ebay in small lots. Traditional you get about market trends each way. Another option is to still make your list and stick around here and learn about what you have there. Perhaps you might decide to hold onto them, if not when you hit your post count you can post your pictures here and sell them. The folks here are fair individuals and probably would appreciate adding something special to their collection. Anyways there are options but at least know what you have before doing anything.

What is a post count? Also I would love nothing more than these coins to go to another collector.

If you look to the left of your post, you'll see your CCF name and how many posts you have contributed. They need to be considered quality posts. The rules basically state

"You must have at least 250 posts and have been a member for at least 90 days to sell items. You must have at least 50 posts and have been a member for at least 14 days to reply."

Here's a link to the rules. http://goccf.com/t/221419
I hope you end up reaching 250 in good standing and we all can benefit then.
In the meantime, this is the place to learn a lot about your coins.

I wouldn't really recommend ebay. sometimes you get a good price on your item and sometimes you don't even get 50% of the market value.

To start with you should look into a way to find out the approximate values of what you have. For example purchase a copy of the Red Book by Whitman Publishing. The prices in that book are about what a dealer would sell a coin for. So you wold want to reduce the values by about 25% of what is listed. Do not try to sell to a coin store, hobby store, pawn shop, etc. All such places will try to screw you out of a large amount of money.
