Can someone tell me if there is extra molding on the wheat Leaf before it was stamped.

I agree and there might not be much collector value, but it got the OP's attention. It might be fun to put these into flips as you begin your collection. Down the road, you can use them to refresh your memory about what it was like "way back when".

ps. There also look to be some die cracks coming off it to the NE into and past the A. The image is somewhat out of focus so there is a chance what you have is something stuck to the coin. Try the acetone soak to see if it will come off.
