Just beginning to learn and understand about these and have a few questions about DH rarity comments.

Is there any current way to quantify the rarity grades they used? What's the difference between RR, R and Scarce?

Is there any more modern source that clarifies this or has done any work/research the accuracy of the DH grades?

Thanks to all.

My 2015 reprint of the D&H cat provides the following explanation (sorry for the photos, but trying to do this quickly). Hope this helps!

Thanks ever so much! That's exactly what I was looking for. I have the PDF of the 1910 edition of DH, but of course it lacks this information.

Very helpful and much appreciated.

Now, if you can tell me how to convince my wife I need to spend $300 on the Withers book . . . .
